Olivia
03:26
|

Olivia lives on the side of a cliff in a house she built made of wood and brick
She got the stones from her folks when she lived at home
They tried to weigh her down so she couldn’t roam
But she did, she ain’t nobody’s kid
Diamonds and pearls were for the other girls. All Olivia wanted was to see the world
So she hopped a train with just one bag
And followed that freight straight down the track
And she left, that train was heaven sent
Anything that you want in life is at your fingertips if you don’t hold so tight
But somethings you just never can let go
Time flew by in the blink of an eye, She lived on Ice cream and apple pie
She used to laugh that Kerouac did the whole thing wrong
And he didn’t know Jack
And she knows, she lived her whole life on the road
She’d sing at night to the Blue Moon light, she could carry a tune like wind carries a kite
Playing the clubs and smokey rooms they all told her,
“Come on back real soon.”
But she won’t, she had to leave for the other coast
Anything that you want in life is at your fingertips if you don’t hold so tight
But somethings you just never can let go
Now Olivia lives on a mountain side with the wind in her hair and her eyes on the tide
Singing songs about the life she lives
It’s the life she wanted since she was a kid
Yeah she does, her life is full of love
Anything that you want in life is at your fingertips if you don’t hold so tight
But somethings you just never can let go

Fruit On The Vine
03:02
|
|||
When love is like
Fruit on the vine
It’s just a seed
Blossoming from care and time
No thistle or thorn
Can steal its sun.
Roots will run deep where once there grew none
When you're with me I just know
By your side is where I'm supposed to grow
You calm my seas
And bring in my tides
I can sail in any gale if your hands in mine
Through stormy weather
Hurricane winds
You are the lighthouse
Guiding me home again
When you're with me I can see
By your side is where I'm supposed to be
Honey ain't it sweet
We were kissed by the ocean breeze
That brought me out of the woods to your shores
I never thought I'd find
A love this divine
Forever you'll be mine and I'll be yours

Out Of My Mind
05:34
|
|||
It’s been sixty-six days now since i’ve seen you last
Funny what we remember trying to forget the past
It was New York in September. The rain pouring down
A cold cup of coffee on the train heading out of town
I’ve stopped counting the days
Dotted my T’s and crossed my eyes
This is the first time I can say
You’re out of my mind
It’s been four hundred days since my last cigarette
Staring through smoke at a mirror seeing someone I’d never met
Tears ran across the Hudson. A bloody tooth and lip
“Blackbird” on the radio. Your handprint on my hip
I’ve stopped counting the days
Dotted my T’s and crossed my eyes
This is the first time I can say
You’re out of my mind
It’s been twelve hundred days now since I last caught a cold
Feeling sick of myself on the bus heading to New York
The rain danced on the window and fell asleep in the street
The bus stopped on the corner where you and I would meet

What's Waiting For Me
04:18
|
|||
What’s waiting for me
I’ve been searching around this darkness
I don’t remember where I started
I’m trying my hardest
Just to see
What’s waiting for me
Cause I’ve been told every single falsehood
About what I can’t do and what I should
Be doing for my own good
To be all I can be
I’ve been trying to fill the gaps now
Left behind by my ambition
The moments wasted making wishes
And following traditions
So blindly
What’s waiting for me
What’s waiting for me
I ain’t got no time for perfect timing
Of all the things I am finding
The future’s so bright it’s blinding
It’s blinding me
I’ve been trying to fill the gaps
Left behind by my ambition
The moments wasted making wishes
And following traditions
So blindly
What’s waiting for me
What’s waiting for me
Will it be enough
To get me through this darkness
To fill these holes in my heart
So I’m happy regardless
Of what’s waiting for me

When Freedom Comes
04:18
|
|||
I’m starting to see
What it means to be free
You have to hold on to hope
To cut the rope. Yeah, cut the rope
These things will hold you down
They’ll tie you up in your own doubt
I don’t believe them now
I’m leaving now
Yes I’m getting out
Let freedom come to me
Let freedom come to me
I’ve forgotten how the wind
Would kiss my face. I've been stuck in this place
Behind these walls made of stone
Like a rose through the cracks I grow
These walls will weigh you down
They’ll lock you up in your own house
I don’t believe them now
I’m leaving now
Yes I’m getting out
Freedom come to me
Freedom come to me
Freedom come to me
Freedom come to me
